New Materials for future Mobility NeMMo Congress (Nantes, France)

In cooperation with LyondellBasell we give a presentation about “Influences of the Radar Properties of Automotive Plastic Parts” at the NeMMo congress in Nantes, France.

Tobias Callies (perisens) will talk about penetration of electromagnetic waves through automotive radar covers (= radomes) and our measurement technology to determine the radar relevant electrical material properties. Bruno Viala (LyondellBasell) will present measurement results from their Polypropylene (PP) materials performed with the RMS-D-77/79G, perisens.

Today, automotive radar sensors are mostly installed behind plastic covers. For a radar-transparent design, it is essential to know the material properties permittivity and loss tangent at the radar frequency (76 to 81 GHz).

We are looking forward to an interesting congress and exchange of ideas!
