perisens at DFO Tagung 2024

We are pleased to report on our joint presentation with Merck KGaA at this year’s DFO conference in Stuttgart from 10.09.2024 to 11.09.2024. Our topic “Spatially resolved measurements of radar transparency for the characterization of painted surfaces as a function of pigmentation” is still a relatively new aspect and met with great interest among paint and varnish manufacturers and stimulated exciting discussion.

In our lecture, we presented the latest research results that show how spatially resolved measurements of radar transparency can be used to precisely characterize the properties of painted surfaces. In particular, the dependence of radar transparency on the pigmentation of the coatings was the focus of our investigations.

These findings are of great importance for the automotive industry, as they help to ensure the quality and safety of painted vehicle parts. By precisely analyzing the radar transparency, potential problems can be identified and rectified at an early stage, which contributes to greater vehicle reliability and safety. perisens is closely following further developments in the industry with regard to the requirements for the measurability of material properties.

We would like to thank all participants for their interest and valuable feedback. Special thanks go to the DFO for the excellent organization of the conference. We look forward to future research projects and further cooperation with our partners.

perisens will be happy to support you with services (e.g. material characterization) or products (e.g. Radome Measurement System (RMS)).
